Rabbi Robert Levine
Senior Rabbi, Congregation Rodeph Sholom
For the past 20 years, Rabbi Robert Levine has served as the Senior Rabbi of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. He is one of the most recognizable clergymen in New York City, having served as President of the New York Board of Rabbis and Vice-President and Chairman of its Interfaith Committee.
Rabbi Levine has always been an outspoken and passionate advocate for reproductive rights. Recognizing the need for a unified front against anti-choice beliefs, Rabbi Levine, along with members of his Congregation, created the One Voice to Save Choice Committee to demonstrate that people of faith can and do support a woman’s basic right to choose. The Committee also established a pro-choice, interfaith coalition with members from over forty synagogues, churches and other faith-based institutions to address the need for reproductive health rights.
Rabbi Levine is a longtime friend and supporter of the National Institute for Reproductive Health and NARAL Pro-Choice New York, and a true Champion of Choice.
